Who Cares if 2 Vowels Go Walking? I’m Sailing a Boat on the Sea. Find out why!

Don’t you hate teaching your students rules that have more exceptions than followers? I surely did, especially after I learned what I am sharing on today’s Zap of Wynn.

Yes, at a reading conference I met up with a friend and shared a few drinks. Hard to believe right?!- Being in a bar at a conference, go figure. Oh, did I mention it was in Chicago?…

Anywho, I am sharing with you something I learned over drinks, written on a cocktail napkin. I wish I had known it years ago. It would have changed my teaching for the better. I hope it helps you and your students.

PS- If you like it, Like It, G+ It, Tweet It, Pin It. Share it with the world. It will make a difference for kids.

Wynn–What a fantastic idea (and one I’m sure I’ll be using in reading groups this year)! As a visual learner myself, seeing the boat/sail/beach visual makes such an impact!
