CCSS SMP 1 Make Sense of Problems and Persevere in Solving Them

CCSS2-300x300‘Tis the week of the American holiday, Thanksgiving. Even if you are not American you can certainly take this week to count your blessings. You’ll be amazed how quickly they multiply when you start counting them.

This is indeed a great practice to do daily- regardless of where you live.

But, before we can dig into our turkeys we must complete this two or three day work week. Thus, this is the week for our study of the Common Core State Standard’s Standard of Mathematical Practice number 1. Phew.

Take a look at this week’s video and be sure to get your downloads that go with this video. The links are right below the video. Please feel free to use these downloads in your school as part of your very own professional development or pass along to your colleagues to help them understand the CCSS SMP #1.

Sharing is Caring folks!
