Recently, a friend took me to a wonderful little card shop on Madison Avenue in New York City called Venture. I LOVED it! A virtual heaven for the office-product-loving, card-reading-freak that I am.
The picture to the right is one of the cards that I bought while I was in the store. I love the earth tones and inspirational words on the pebbles. I’m using that card as a piece of art in my office.
I purchased a few other cards that had wonderful messages on the front and blank inside. I will admit I took pictures of bunches of other cards so I could remember the sayings… what’s a girl to do? I couldn’t buy the whole store!
Check this out, they even sold wooden tacks at this store. That was cool and a new one on me. Of course, they had plenty of organizational tools, cool pens, fancy file folders…
For me, the down side is not being able to find them online. 🙁 I typed in their web address just like it is written on my shopping bag, but alas, no success. The closest thing I could find to actually getting to the online store was this set of reviews: http://www.yelp.com/biz/venture-stationers-new-york . What a bummer.
Word to the wise, if you’re going to have a website and put your address on your shopping bags, make sure it works… I can go back when I’m in New York in March, but sharing is caring. I wanted to share it with you. ho-hum Now I wonder, should I go back?
